2026 Is a Dumpster Fire — And We're Only Halfway Through
A Mid-Year Rant About Everything That's Gone Wrong
2026 Is a Dumpster Fire — And We're Only Halfway Through 🔥🗑️😭
A Mid-Year Rant About Everything That's Gone Wrong (And What's Coming Next)
June 2026
AHEM
I need to get this off my chest.
I've been holding it in for six months. Six months of watching the world burn. Six months of pretending everything is fine. Six months of wondering if I'm the only one who notices.
I'm not.
2026 has been terrible. Not "2025 was bad, but this year is slightly better" terrible. Different terrible. New terrible. Terrible that makes you nostalgic for the old terrible.
We're halfway through the year. Six months down. Six months to go. And it already feels like we've lived through a decade of chaos.
This is my mid-year check-in. My scream into the void. My attempt to make sense of a world that refuses to make sense.
If you're feeling the same way, you're not alone. We're all in this dumpster fire together.
THE WAR — Iran, Oil, and the Never-Ending Cycle 🌍💣
Let's start with the big one.
The war in Iran started early this year. It started with an 11/10. It was an all-out war from the beginning. They killed the leader of a nation of 90 million people. That's all out war. That's a line in the sand. That's a declaration that there's no going back.
I wrote about it then. I said this war won't end soon. I said it started with an 11/10 and it's going to stay at an 11/10 until one side collapses.
I think I'm right. I'm either right or right.
The MOU:
There was a moment of peace. A signing. A hope. A Memorandum of Understanding that made everyone think things were getting better.
I didn't write about it when it happened. I wanted to see the aftermath. I wanted to see if it was real or just theater.
The aftermath: bad.
They went back to bombing. The MOU was theater. A performance. A pause button that was immediately unpaused. The war continued. The bombing continued. The death continued.
Oil Prices:
Oil prices are down. Which is good. But I think it's temporary. I think they'll be back up. The Strait of Hormuz is going to remain closed. The war is going to escalate. And we're going to feel it at the pump.
Oil prices are down now because the war is in a lull. But the lull won't last. The war will escalate. The prices will go back up. And we'll all be paying for it.
The Prediction:
This war will not end soon. It started with an 11/10. It's been all-out from the start. And it's going to get worse before it gets worse.
A draft will happen. Maybe later this year. Maybe next year. But it's coming. The war will escalate. The need for soldiers will escalate. And young people will be forced to fight for a war they didn't start and don't understand.
THE EPSTEIN FILES — The System Is a Joke 🎭
Remember when the Epstein Files were released? BUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAH!!!
I said it then. I'll say it now. Nothing will come of it. No one will be held accountable. The system will protect itself.
I was right.
The files were released. So much evil. So much corruption. So many names. So many connections. The evidence was there. The proof was there. The testimony was there.
And nothing happened.
Pam Bondi was fired. That's it. That's the "justice." A single person was fired. Bruh. One person. One person who was already on her way out. That's not justice. That's a performance.
The system protected itself. The powerful protected themselves. The truth was buried under the noise.
Everyone forgot. The news cycle moved on. The people moved on. The system stayed the same.
The Rant:
"Epstein files get released. So much evil. So much corruption. Barely anything happens. It's like we've lost our minds. Everyone's forgotten. And it literally happened this year! This is the system. This is what we're dealing with. A system that protects pedophiles. A system that protects the powerful. A system that doesn't care about the truth."
THE ECONOMY — Layoffs, Prices, and the Squeeze 💸
The economy is garbage.
Layoffs everywhere. Tech. Media. Everywhere. People are losing their jobs. People are struggling. And no one seems to care.
I just want a steady job. That's it. That's all I want. A steady job. A stable income. The ability to pay rent without panicking. And instead, I get this. Layoffs. Inflation. A war. An economy that's teetering on the edge.
Prices are going up. Everything is expensive. Food. Rent. Utilities. Gas. It's a squeeze. And it's only getting worse.
Oil prices are down, but that's temporary. Everything else is going up. Everything else is getting more expensive. And no one seems to be doing anything about it.
"This is fine. Everything is fine."
THE CIVIL WAR — America Is Tearing Itself Apart 🇺🇸💔
America is on the brink of civil war. Not metaphorically. Literally.
Elon Musk is really trying to incite a civil war. I think that's to distract people from his wealth. To point the enemy somewhere else. To make people forget that he's part of the problem.
ICE is being used to "boil the frog alive." They're slowly normalizing surveillance and authoritarianism. They're slowly making people accept things that would have been unthinkable a few years ago.
People are protesting for and against the war. Fights in the streets. Division everywhere. The left hates the right. The right hates the left. No one is talking. No one is listening. Everyone is screaming.
The DOJ is trying to set up a surveillance state. And no one seems to notice. No one seems to care. Everyone is too busy fighting each other to see the bigger picture.
THE WORLD CUP — I Don't Care and Neither Should You ⚽😤
The FIFA World Cup is happening. Canada is one of the hosts. Everyone is obsessed. I don't get it.
Non-Argentinians rooting for Argentina because of Messi. Bruh. You ain't even from Argentina. You're not part of that team. You're not from that country. Why are you cheering for them?
People are rooting for teams they're not even from. A friend has an Argentina jersey. He's not Argentinian. Why?! Why would you root for a team that isn't your home country? Make it make sense.
Canada isn't going to win. I know they ain't going to win. So why care? Why get invested in a team that's going to lose? Why get excited about a tournament that's going to disappoint?
The Rant:
"I don't get why everyone cares. It's even worse that Canada is a host because all there is is World Cup crap. I know Canada ain't gonna win this, so I just don't care about it. Screw sports! Screw Ronaldo! Screw Messi! Screw Canada for never winning and giving me no hope!"
THE MURDERS — The Cases That Slipped Through the Cracks 🕯️
Two high-profile murders this year. Renee Good. Alex Pretti.
These cases should have been investigated thoroughly. They should have been national news. They should have been front-page stories.
Instead, they were buried. Lost in the noise. Forgotten.
The news cycle moved on. The people moved on. The cases were forgotten. And no one seems to care.
THE PREDICTIONS — What's Coming Next 🔮
2026 has been terrible. And it's not going to get better.
The war will escalate. Oil prices will go back up. The economy will get worse. More layoffs. More inflation. The civil war will escalate. More division. More violence.
A draft will happen. Maybe later this year. Maybe next year. It will escalate the war. It will escalate the civil war. It will make everything worse.
And we'll all be caught in the middle.
The Rant:
"I'm literally losing my mind. I could be wrong. Maybe there is no civil war. But I'm losing my mind. Things aren't going any better in Canada. Protests everywhere. Fights on the streets. Luckily I stay at my house the whole time, so I don't care. But holy cow. It feels like there's going to be a massive civil war that breaks out. When it does, hopefully I'm safe."
THE CONCLUSION — We're Only Halfway Through 🔥
2026 has been terrible. Not "2025 was bad, but this year is slightly better" terrible. Different terrible. New terrible. Terrible that makes you nostalgic for the old terrible.
We're halfway through the year. Six months down. Six months to go. And it already feels like we've lived through a decade of chaos.
The war. The economy. The Epstein files. The civil war. The world cup. The murders. It's all too much.
And it's not going to get better.
The Final Line:
I just want a steady job. That's all I want. A steady job. A stable income. The ability to live without constant fear. But I guess that's too much to ask in 2026.
